Lars Wilhelmsson was born in Sweden and his family immigrated to United States when he was 13 years old. He was converted to Christianity at the age of 14. A couple of years later he felt God’s call to ministry. He has pastored churches in California, Minnesota, New York and Connecticut and has authored nine books and numerous articles for Christian periodicals.

Lars received a bachelors degree in philosophy from Crown College and also a master’s degree and doctorate in pastoral and historical theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He has taught as adjunct professor in various institutions of higher learning including Alliance Theological Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary.

Lars was involved in launching a Scandinavian mission agency called MISSION SOS and served as chairman of the board and as a professor in the training program. He is also a founding board member of Heaven for You, a mission agency which focuses primarily in reaching Muslims. In addition, Lars has ministered as part-time chaplain in a prison in New York.

Lars has been a regular lecturer and preacher in Lima, Peru for 15 years and has been involved in evangelism and humanitarian relief work in Cuba for 8 years.

Lars is adjunct professor at Alliance Theological Seminary.

Lars and his wife Nancy have five children and four grandchildren.
